Puppet’s Galore!

Recently, I had the pleasure of traveling to the Jim Henson Studios in Downtown Los Angeles to see a show called Puppet Up! created by Brian Henson. The show is an improvised, multi-media puppet show, including sketches, previous famous bits done and created by Jim, and more. With a camera in the front of the stage, you are able to both watch the performers do their live show and watch the screen, where we can watch the puppet show!

The show was held in the iconic Charlie Chaplin Stage, and Brian Henson was clearly very excited that people were allowed in the studios and able to see some of what they do in person. He gave a speech about his father, and wow. Hearing about the dedication Jim had to his craft and the way he wanted to inspire people through unconventional forms of performance was inspiring. Jim Henson is a hero of mine and I am so grateful I was able to have this experience while in LA!
